Service Overview
Welcome to JobSnap, operated at usejobsnap.com. We are job seekers ourselves, and we built JobSnap to make pipeline tracking as effortless as possible.
JobSnap is a career-tracking utility consisting of a Manifest V3 Chrome Extension that caches application details locally and a web-based dashboard hosted via Supabase that synchronizes your board across devices. The Service extracts application details (such as company, role, dates, and status milestones) from job-related emails that you forward to our system, allowing you to track your application pipelines.
Agreement to Terms: By creating an account, installing the Chrome Extension, or accessing any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must uninstall the extension and cease using our Service immediately.
Gmail Integration & Processing Scope
To enable automated pipeline tracking, JobSnap generates a private, unique forwarding email address for your account (e.g., `name.xyz@usejobsnap.com`).
Voluntary Forwarding
JobSnap only processes job confirmations and updates that you voluntarily forward or configure your email provider to automatically forward to your unique JobSnap alias.
No Direct Inbox Access
We strictly do **not** request access tokens to directly read your inbox folders (such as `gmail.readonly`), do not scan folders, and will never request your Google account passwords.
User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use
By maintaining an account and utilizing our Chrome Extension, you agree to:
- Provide accurate profile information during secure Google OAuth sign-in.
- Use the Service exclusively for your personal, non-commercial career tracking needs.
- Refrain from launching scripts or automated payloads targeting our Supabase database or Vercel server routes.
- Refrain from forwarding spam, malicious attachments, or materials that violate copyright or privacy guidelines to your JobSnap inbox.
Subscription & Billing
JobSnap offers a free tier (restricted to 50 active job pipeline items) and a Pro Tier with unlimited job parsing, advanced analytics, and custom triggers.
Intellectual Property
All software components, extension builds, layout code, database configurations, design assets, and logos are the sole property of JobSnap and its founders.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to install the Extension and browse the web dashboard. You agree not to copy, reverse-engineer, distribute, or modify the extension core files or assets without prior written consent.
Limitation of Liability
We strive to build a stable, highly performant product, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Important Limitation Terms:
• Email Misclassification: We are not liable for misclassified, delayed, or missed email notifications, incorrect status updates, or errors in extracted job metadata. You are responsible for verifying your critical application and interview timelines independently.
• Service Downtime & Data Loss: We are not responsible for database outages, Vercel server proxy issues, or the deletion of job tracking records. Please use our CSV export utility to back up your pipelines regularly.
• Max Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobSnap and its team will not be liable for any consequential or indirect damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid by you (if any) during the six months prior to the dispute.
Termination
You can terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling the Chrome Extension and deleting your account. Account deletions permanently delete all your tracking database rows from our active systems within 30 days.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we detect code abuse, excessive server polling, or violations of acceptable use parameters.
Changes to Terms
We may periodically refine these Terms to accommodate browser extension policy changes or new features.
Any updates will be posted here with a revised "Last Updated" date. If modifications are significant, we will provide a notice in the extension popup dashboard.
